LOVENOISE
CELEBRATES 5 YEARS:
Since 2003, Lovenoise has highlighted
the brightest local Nashville, TN, national and international
R&B and soul artists by bringing together a live
music audience of trendsetters and tastemakers. From
B.B. Kings (Nashville) to the Bar Car in Cummings
Station, and now The Place, Lovenoise prides its ability
to draw countless crowds coming to hear the best in
live music and poetry each Sunday night while maintaining
a safe and artistic environment for artists and audiences.
"Lovenoise went from a small party of about 400
of our friends that enjoyed the same kinds of music
as we did to a weekly event that produces large concerts
and events in and outside of Nashville," said
Eric Holt, co-founder of Lovenoise and chief orchestrator
of the Lovenoise brand. "We have since built
a dedicated following and have become a breeding ground
for up and coming soul musicians across the country,"
he said.
Holt, along with Lovenoise co-founders LaSalle Chapman,
Chip Hockett, Antoine Nunn and Bryce Page, has transformed
Lovenoise into one of the largest and most respected
platforms for live entertainment in the city and beyond.
Featured national artists have included Tamia, Musiq
Soulchild, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Raphael Saadiq, Prince Paul,
Amel Larrieux, Saul Williams, Goapele, KRS-ONE, Raheem
DeVaughn, Chrisette Michele, Anthony David and PJ
Morton among others.
"We have worked with some of the best artists
and poets in Nashville and have exposed our local
music scene to national artists. Major record labels
call us with new artists or new releases to play at
Lovenoise for the exposure simply because we have
managed to achieve a longstanding quality event,"
he added.
Now with national acclaim, Lovenoise is adding to
the musical experience by incorporating more social
and lifestyle events that speak to the mind, body
and soul. In the next five years, the founders of
Lovenoise plan to host larger concerts, in Nashville
and other cities, as well as more events such as sport
outings and lectures. "We understand that we
have built a brand that people trust over the past
five years. With that trust, there is a responsibility
to share knowledge that can help improve lives on
all levels, not just a place to relax and listen to
cool music," said Holt.
