The NYU Tisch Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music Alumna returned as colorful as ever this year, with new tracks “Loving U Blind” and “Pour Me” featuring Wale. Varner’s new single “Kinda Love” has arrived, giving all the ladies their empowering anthem for Summer 2019. Elle will continue to feed our souls this year, delivering her long-awaited follow-up project to Imperfect on July 12th, titled, Ellevation

BROWN (special guest)

Detroit’s own John Brown, also known as J. Brown, knows a thing or two about passion and good music. Born and raised in the Motor City, John was the youngest of five and a preacher’s kid who sang in his father’s church every Sunday. In middle school, John joined a local youth theater group, which nurtured his vocal and acting skillsand granted him the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at Pistons and Lions games, as well as perform for then President Clinton multiple times.  He finally received his big break after posting an ad on Myspace looking for new management and met with Detroit-based entertainment attorney, Phillip Ragan. John signed to Ragan's label Mophillin Entertainment. From there with a brief deal with Universal RepublicRecords, in 2010 John released his singles "I'mma Love You Right" and "Sex On My Money" (featuring Gucci Main). He is currently putting the final touches on his long-awaited, full-fledged solo debut set.
